The polar bear, also known as the polar bear, is a large omnivorous mammal native to the Arctic regions with a slender, rectangular head, small and rounded ears, short tail and massive paws. Its eyes, muzzle, lips, and paw pads are black. The hairs of the coat are translucent and hollow. It is the refraction of visible light on the inner surface of hollow, colorless hairs that make them appear white.Polar bears are found on icy waterways in the circumpolar Arctic.
It feeds primarily on marbled seals and, to a lesser extent, bearded seals. It also appreciates harbor seals, crested seals and, occasionally, walruses and white whales (or beluga).
