App creates spots on a field map (image) used to navigate to locations to take soil samples. User may choose 2 1/2 acre grid, 5 acre grid, 1 hectare grid, or import a custom grid. Maximum of 10 farms with 10 fields each. App tracks user's path from spot to spot. A JPG or PNG image (picture) of each field is needed - can use a satellite view from Google Earth(TM), a camera image , scanned image, etc. Small amount of technical skill is necessary to copy image to app's directory using My Files app on device. May be useful to use soil-type image to view spots. Uses internal GPS. Does not require cell phone service. WIFI is useful for initial creation of images but not needed for locating spots. Export feature creates CSV file with latitude and longitude locations by field for matching with soil sample results and creating variable rate fertilizer prescriptions. App is usable on phone or tablet. Independent of other services. Submit your soil samples to any lab.
