There's no doubt that Reggae & Dancehall are 2 of the most popular genres of music that exist globally, and there are many talented artistes here in Jamaica who find it difficult to have their songs given air play over the local radio stations. It's even harder to be discovered via the more popular distribution platforms that currently exist, and we believe in order to level the playing field in our local music business, we had to create a free and centralised point of reference for local talent. Now, it will be easier to discover songs that you normally wouldn't hear about, build your own playlist from the collection. Hopefully, this will lead to new talent being discovered and given a fair opportunity to travel and earn a living just like the more popular artistes that come from our shores.
