Hello, welcome to PinkRoad!
The PinkRoad application was created to respond to the problem of harassment and aggression in public spaces and on public transport. The app aims to allow women of all ages to travel safely and travel stretches of road within the urban and suburban network in company and with complete tracking.
Here are some of the features that you will find within our application:
- Map updated in real time with the possibility of seeing the trips created by other users: it will be possible to ask to join the routes if the route is in line with your needs.
- Possibility of creating a trip from scratch to start it immediately and to remain tracked and be safe or create a trip to start later so that other users can eventually find the trip within the map and join the route.
- Chat with the travel companions with whom you will share the route.
- Creation and customization of your personal profile.
- Insertion of emergency contacts.
- Request for help via a special button that will put users in contact with 112.
Registration on the platform is allowed to female users and for this purpose there are two different registration options, via electronic identity card or via passport. We are implementing the possibility of also using the paper identity card for those who do not yet have an electronic identity card or passport. These checks during registration allow you to find only verified users within the platform and no fake accounts.
