There are many regions and worlds to discover, each with different types of Pixelmons. Some Pixelmon can belong to two types at the same time, while movements can belong to only one. On the other hand, there are certain factors that cause some Pixelmon to change types.

Most elemental types were introduced in the first generation. The steel and sinister types were added in the second generation, as well as the ??? type to which no Pixelmon belongs, only Pixelmon eggs, the curse move (until the fourth generation), and in the mysterious world, the sablazo and windbreaker moves.
