Shijima brings the original shimeji desktop pet experience to your Android device. Throw them around! Pet them! Make them really small or really big, or hold them so they can't run away. It's up to you. Import your favorite anime and video game characters and use them however you want. (Or bring your own characters!*)

Shijima is compatible with most Shimeji-ee desktop pets. With Shijima, you can install one (or many!) of the hundreds of shimeji desktop mascots already available on the internet and use them on your device. Use Shijima to make your home screen and/or apps more fun and personalized with the characters of your choice. Shijima is also highly configurable, allowing you to change your characters' sizes, configure their framerates and enable/disable certain interactions like throwing, hotspots, multiplication and sound effects.

If you're new to shimeji, don't worry! A selection of high-quality shimeji are provided in the Featured tab to get you started**. Of course, you don't have to use these featured shimeji; you can just import your own instead.

You can spawn up to 50 shimeji at once using Shijima. However, spawning too many shimeji at once may cause Shijima to slow down or freeze depending on your device's capabilities. Therefore, the recommended on-screen shimeji limit is 6. This can also be configured within the app settings.

Regarding the Use of Accessibility Permissions

Shijima has an optional "App Filter" feature that allows shimeji to be automatically shown or hidden depending on the app you're currently using. This feature requires accessibility permissions to function. If you enable this permission, Shijima will use it to retrieve the names of the apps you are using on your device and show/hide shimeji accordingly. No other information will ever be collected. This information will only be processed on your device. It will never be transmitted outside of your device or shared with any party.

*: Shijima does not contain a shimeji creator. To import your own characters into Shijima, create and test your shimeji with Shimeji-ee first, then import it as a zip file.
