RMU is defined as a functional platform for social service providers at the district level headed by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and comprised of the heads of social sector ministries/divisions at district level to monitor, plan, and implement interventions for the wellbeing of children, women, youths and target groups in an accelerated rate following coordinated convergence approach.
