Routes:

A representation of Emperor Charles V, acting as a digital guide, will accompany us throughout the journey, allowing us to discover the routes he traveled during his life:

Route of Prince Charles's Arrival, 1517: Upon his arrival in Tazones from Flanders to take possession of the Iberian kingdoms, Charles came into contact for the first time with the land of his Hispanic ancestors. It was his first major state visit, and a journey during which he would reunite with his Castilian family.

Route of Charles V's Coronation as Emperor, 1520: On this journey, the Emperor traveled across the northern Iberian Peninsula from Barcelona to Santiago de Compostela, en route to his coronation in Aachen. Once he had achieved his goal, he embarked for Flanders in May of that same year.

Route of the Jerónimos Way, 1525: The Jerónimos would welcome Charles in his final days. His pilgrimage route to the Monastery of the Virgin of Guadalupe (whose devotion would later spread to the Americas) follows the traditional trails of the Extremadura mountains that the emperor also visited.

Route of the Betrothal of Charles V, 1526: These are the itineraries followed by Charles V and Isabella of Portugal to Seville, where their engagement was celebrated at the Royal Alcázar on March 11, 1526. The couple then moved to Granada, where the Alhambra witnessed their honeymoon.

Route of the Emperor's Last Journey, 1556: The end was near, and a tired and ailing emperor decided to abdicate in favor of his son Philip and his brother Ferdinand. The Monastery of Yuste awaited his retirement, far from the major centers of conflict and power, where he died on September 21, 1558.

Sea Route: This route takes us to one of the most important ports during the reign of Charles V in the southern Mediterranean in Spain, Italy, and North Africa: the port of Melilla, a Mediterranean city that will delight any visitor.

Route 6 - The Maritime Route - Search and complete the two sections of the Mediterranean maritime route ship.
