MINDFUL TRAVEL DESTINATIONS
Mindful tourism is a new tourist typology on which the Mindful Travel Destinations Association is based and which "seeks a balance between physical well-being, emotional health and spiritual peace. It goes beyond slow tourism and responsible tourism and seeks luxury in integral sustainability, in the connection between the material and the spiritual, on the road to innovation without abandoning tradition ".
TRAILS FOR PEACE
A real and visible example of the concept of mindful travel is the initiative Trailsforpeace, an international network of trails already present in Spain and Colombia that bring together the essential elements of meditation and mindfulness, the promotion of technological disconnection, slow tourism, baths of forest and the silence baths "
Trailsforpeace is a road project to promote comprehensive peace in the world through health and inner peace of people, through hiking and activities in nature a healthier society, combining the balance between body, mind and soul (heart) and that it helps to promote peace in the world through the inner peace of people.
THE APP TRAILSFORPEACE EXPERIENCE
Trailsforpeace experience, will show in a mobile application the roads that are marked and valued, so that tourists can know where these roads are, their points of interest and a 3D game that gamifies them and rewards the most supportive tourists.
In addition this app will have a series of benefits and positive impacts following the philosophy of the project:
● The app will generate a community of travelers and walkers for peace
● You will have geolocated routes with points of interest
● The points obtained with the gamification can serve as an investment in NGOs in the area through sponsorships
● You can leave messages or thoughts while doing the route in the valuation section of each point of interest
It may be paradoxical that technology is used in a project that aims to move away from it to find oneself. But, in reality, this project is consistent with this philosophy, since we must bear in mind that the app is not a browser and, therefore, will not be geolocated lines and routes, but points of interest. The objective is to identify the beginning and end of each road and the points of interest, so that the tourist, in the journey between them, keep the phone and enjoy the road itself. In this way, technology remains a tool to support the service of an end and not the other way around.
The first path that appears in the app is that of La Jarosa, in the Sierra de Guadarrama (Madrid, Spain), which will be followed by many more, as those paths are created, it will appear in the mobile application with a clear international vocation.
