Open Access is research that is free to all rather than sitting behind a paywall. The Pocket Open Access app is a free, simple app that allows you to search Core's collection of more than 200 million open access research papers, view article PDF's and dowload them to your phone for offline access later.

The app is very much dependent on the Core collection of open access research papers. Please visit the Core website for further information - https://core.ac.uk/.

The app also makes use of a PDF viewer from Syncfusion - https://www.syncfusion.com/.

I developed the app in my own time, with two aims in mind – an app that people with restricted access to the internet and no access to paid for content subscriptions, can use to access the wealth of research that is freely available and download it to their phone for offline use. The other aim is to help me develop my mobile app development skills.
