As an association of the 16 state youth fire departments, the German Youth Fire Department is the umbrella association of children's groups and youth fire departments in Germany. The most important pillar of communication for the German Youth Fire Brigade is the association magazine LAUFFEUER. With around 10,500 subscriptions, LAUFFIRE is firmly anchored in the fire brigade's youth work. The primary target groups are the local children's group and youth leaders as well as the actors in the youth fire brigade association work. Practical tips for service organization, fire brigade reports, news from association work, youth policy issues and recommendations for action are published in eleven issues per year.
