The Purple Weekend in León celebrates its 33rd edition in 2022 and is the most important Mod Festival in Spain and has great prestige abroad. It is the most notorious City Festival in the capital of Leon, and during those more than thirty years it has brought the best groups of this musical culture, and the most famous DJs to enjoy with the Allnighters and the Alldayers.

The main promoters of this festival are Estrella Galicia, the León City Council, the Junta de Castilla y León and the León Gótico Merchants Association, which is in charge of organizing it.

During the various days in which León is filled with atmosphere and sixties fashion (this year from December 7 to 11), various cultural events are held as well as the famous 'Scooter Run' of Vespas and Lambrettas.
