Punyashloka Ahilyadevi Maharashtra Mendhi Va Sheli Vikas Mahamandal is a A Govt of Maharashtra Undertaking working for the welfare of the sheep and goat farming sector and want to consolidate the supply chain by providing wholesome knowledge of sheep and goat farming and marketing linkages. The mission of the organisation is to achieve economical and social progress of small and marginal farmers by boosting of sheep and goat farming business in the Maharashtra State.
The main objectives of the Corporation are as under:-
1. To establish, extend to reorganize Sheep & Goat Breeding Farms, of Exotic/Local/Cross-breed Sheep in the State.
2. To multiply such units at location convenient to Sheep & Goat rising.
3. To import, export & sell the Sheep & Goat and its products.
4. To take crossbreeding program for up- gradation of local Sheep & Goat.
5. To establish, or reorganize Sheep & Goat extension centers in collaboration with the State Government.
6. To finance, promote, establish, administer & assist institutions run by Government, Co-operatives.
To achieve the above objectives PAMMVSMM has come out with an Android APP "
SHELIMITRA" - which will provide existing and prospective goat / sheep farmers latest information regarding all the 10 farm locations, Livestock information, facilities available, contact details of farm managers. It will also provide a facility for the prospective farmer to register for the next available training course. Important learning video links, Sample Projject Reports, Vaccination Schedule etc will be made available to the farmer which will help him easily manage their individual farms.
Most importantly Goat farmers will be able to apply for Loans / Subsidies /Insurance claims using this App
