About Mitro (Transparency)
Mitro means “ally”. It’s a secure audio calling app built for trusted colleagues and family members — not for public or anonymous communication.
Development began in 2023, and officially released on the Play Store in 2025.
Mitro is a WebRTC-based 1-to-1 audio calling app that works entirely over the internet.
It does not use any VoIP gateway, telecom operator, or phone number integration — communication happens only on the internet between Google-verified email accounts.
Sign in securely using Google Sign-In (passwordless) — only verified, email-based users can connect.
Mitro operates as an internet-based application.
We keep call history data (such as caller, receiver, and time) for a specific retention period — but no audio content is ever stored or accessed.
All calls are end-to-end encrypted, ensuring privacy between users.
Both users must have the app installed and be connected to the internet to communicate.
