The MinhaPele application was created by researchers from LIPAI (Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Image Processing and Analysis) at the Federal University of Uberlândia. The application was created using artificial intelligence techniques with over 40,000 medical images and has the participation of health experts. With it it is possible to perform a skin cancer self-examination to identify suspicious signs or lesions that may be cancer or tumors that may turn into skin cancer (precursors). Individuals at high risk of skin cancer are indicated for self-examination.
