Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandez (born September 8, 1994) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for English Premier League club Manchester United and the Portuguese national team.

Fernandez was born in Maya, Porto, and started his football career with Novara, but soon moved to Udinese in Serie A in 2013, followed by Sampdoria three years later. After five years in Italy, he signed with Sporting Club Lisbon in 2017, where he was appointed club captain. He won the Taças da Liga Championships in 2018 and 2019, as well as Taça de Portugal, which led to him being named Primeira Liga Player of the Year in both seasons. In 2018-19, he scored a record 33 goals in all competitions, making him the highest-scoring Portuguese midfielder and highest midfielder in Europe in a single season. Fernandez's performance sparked the interest of many Premier League clubs, with Manchester United signing him for 55 million euros (47 million pounds) in January 2020, making it the second-highest fee for a Portuguese player to leave the domestic league.

Fernandez made his Portugal national team debut in November 2017, having previously been under-19, under-20 and under-21. He also represented Portugal in the 2016 Summer Olympics. He was selected in the Portugal teams for the 2018 World Cup and the 2019 European Nations League Finals, and he won the last and was selected in the tournament team.
