Son Heung-min (born July 8, 1992) is a South Korean footballer who plays in the offensive center with Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and the South Korean national football team.

Son was born in Chuncheon in Gangwon Province, joined the Hamburg club at the age of 16, and made his debut in the German Bundesliga in 2010. In 2013, he moved to Bayer Leverkusen for 10 million euros, before signing with Tottenham Hotspur for 22 million pounds after two years. Later, he became the most expensive Asian player in history. While at Tottenham Hotspur, Son became the best goalscorer in Asia in both the English Premier League and the Champions League, surpassing the record set by Cha Bum Kun as the best goalscorer in the European competition. In 2019, he became the second Asian in history to reach and feature in the Champions League final after his compatriot Park Ji-sung.

He became a full-fledged international player since 2010, represented South Korea in the 2014 and 2018 World Cup Finals, and he is the historic scorer for his country in the World Cup, with Park Ji Sung and An Jung Hwan three goals. Sun also represented South Korea at the 2018 Asian Games, where his team won the gold, as well as the 2011, 2015 and 2019 versions of the AFC Asian Cup. Korea ranked second in 2015.
