Subsequently, this directory was expanded with songs from the village to which words of encouragement were added for the athletes of his school and on occasion, invective against the opponent of the day. The ZOUGLOU, a generic term given to it by a number of students from the university city of YOPOUGON (ABIDJAN) at the time, took over this way of composing the songs by adding social and political criticism but above all with humor. We are at the beginning of the 90s, the spring period of multiparty politics in the countries of black Africa ZOUGLOU had thus officially seen the light of day. Since then, the musical genre that it has become has captured the hearts of music lovers here and around the world.
