Radio Abruzzo Marche was born in Sant’Egidio alla Vibrata in 1981 from the idea of ​​some friends who leave with little means but with a lot of passion and enthusiasm: Nello Di Matteo, Fabrizio Filipponi, Diego Di Francesco and Franco Santarelli.

After some time, only the current owner Diego Di Francesco remains, assisted for a period by the comedian Angelo Carestia, always present in the jingles and commercials of the Radio. We must affectionately remember Nello Di Matteo, also founder of Radio Abruzzo Marche and protagonist of the first radios as early as the "70s", unfortunately died prematurely for a few years. It goes without saying that the name of the radio comes from the geographical position on the border between the two regions. The apex of the success of Radio Abruzzo Marche reached him in the years between 1985 and 1990 thanks above all to the main speaker of the radio, Giorgio Miglietta, very followed by numerous fans for his great musical passion certainly at a certain level, let's say "out of the lines ", but also for his extraordinary and bewitching voice, in short, a" zero defect "character.

Since January 2004, Radio Abruzzo Marche, "the myth of the 80s", as someone defined it, after some collaborations with national radios, has returned to local radio, thus radically changing the programming: no longer limited to Italian music only, but much more varied. It ranges from Italian music of the "70s" to current news, Latin American music, soft and above all very pop "70/80", which is the genre that has given us the greatest success. In short, we try to satisfy in some way all our listeners who call us every day, express their preferences and let's face it, they also compliment us.

Our main motto is "the radio must make music, possibly ... beautiful music". It is no coincidence that one of our slogans is "Radio Abruzzo Marche ... speak less but play more".
