AgriFi presents suppliers of agricultural inputs (fertilizers, seeds, agricultural materials and equipment, as well as service providers) in Niger. It was compiled by the National Network of Chambers of Agriculture and the Regional Chambers of Agriculture of Niger. Only approved input suppliers are authorized to sell within Niger.
The supplier list incorporates the directories of the DICE (Directorate of Information and Communication Technologies), the DCCS (Directorate of Consumer Protection and Security), and the RECA/CRA (Regional Network of Agricultural and Rural Development Centers). This list is not exhaustive, given the wide diversity of individual supply chains. It must be updated regularly to include new approved suppliers.
To use the application, start by choosing the type of input you wish to purchase. You will then access a drop-down list allowing you to select the supplier you are interested in. Generally, the supplier's name appears first on their profile.
Each supplier profile provides information such as:
the supplier's name,
their contact details,
the region,
the locality,
and the point of sale. You can also find out if the supplier is a wholesaler, retailer, or both, and view their list of available products.
The basic advice remains to purchase your inputs from approved suppliers whenever possible. Knowledge of input suppliers allows agricultural advisors to better support producers.
