BCB is an electronic database on medicines integrated into the software of health professionals (pharmacists, doctors, dentists, healthcare establishments) whose purpose is to ensure the security of prescriptions and to provide effective assistance in the delivery of medications.

Several specialty search functions have been integrated:
- Search by drug name
- Search by indication
- Search by component
- Search by laboratory name

Once the specialty has been selected, you can consult the monograph chapter by chapter or globally. Then you have the possibility of adding the specialty in a prescription in order to control it.
Checking the prescription will make it possible to look for any interactions between two or more specialties.
The check is also carried out against the patient's profile.
It is possible in the BCB application to modify the patient's profile (gender, age) and to add one or more pathologies and one or more allergies.
The functions for detecting alerts in relation to a state of pregnancy have also been developed.
