🕓 Kaktovik Time: A Base-20 Watch Face
Ditch the ordinary. Wear time differently.
Kaktovik Time is a minimalist, futuristic watch face that reimagines how we tell time — using the Kaktovik numeral system, a base-20 counting method developed by the Iñupiat people of Alaska.
This watch face displays the current time as a sequence of three Kaktovik digits:
Ikarraq – the largest unit, dividing the day into 20 segments
Mein – the next subdivision, refining ikarraq into smaller 1/20 parts
Tick – the third-level subdivision for subtle precision
Together, these numerals represent your position within the day as a smooth, flowing progression — like a 20-hour day sliced into elegant, base-20 rhythms.
🖤 Features:
All-black background for OLED battery efficiency
Crisp white Kaktovik numerals for perfect readability
No clutter, no complications — just time, encoded in a unique system
Perfect for those who love minimalism, alternate calendars, linguistic heritage, or a sci-fi aesthetic.
This is designed for Wear OS. It will only work on Wear OS watch faces, it will not work on anything that is not Wear OS.
