The Lee-Russell Council of Governments operates two Public Transit systems: LRPT and PEX for residents of Auburn, Opelika, Lee and Russell Counties, Alabama. LR Rides allows fast, direct booking of rides with no calls or waiting. Lee-Russell Public Transit (LRPT) offers demand response and paratransit services. These services are shared-ride, provided on a first-come, first-served, space-available basis. Both are open to the general public within LRPT service areas. The Phenix City Express (PEX) operates fixed route and ADA-compliant paratransit services for the City of Phenix City.
