The annex describes all the main brake devices, as well as their work and malfunctions used in rail transport in the post-Soviet space. In addition, there is a description and diagram of many pneumatic circuits used on cars and locomotives, such as M62, 2TE10M, VL80s, ChME3, etc.

The application is divided into seven parts:

The first part describes the pneumatic system of locomotives VL80s, ChS4t, ChS7, ChS8, TEP70, TEP70bs, 2TE10m, ChME3t, as well as passenger and freight cars.

The second part describes the devices used to receive and store compressed air. These are the compressors KT-6, KT-7, KT-6 El, PK5.25, EK-7B, EK-7V, pressure regulators 3RD, AK-11B, TSP-2B, main tanks.

The third part describes the brake control devices. This is the train crane for the driver 394 (395), the train crane for the driver 334E, the crane for the auxiliary locomotive brake No. 254, the brake lock No. 367, and the automatic control switches E-119B, E-119V.

The fourth part describes the braking devices. This is an air distributor 292, an air distributor 483, an electric air distributor 305, a pressure switch 304, auto modes 265, 605, 606, brake cylinders.

The fifth part describes the air ducts. These are highways, cranes, valves, connecting hoses, oil separators, dust collectors and filters.

In the sixth part, brake control devices are described. These are 3SL2M and KPD-3 locomotive speed meters, an electro-pneumatic auto-stop valve (EPK-150), a brake line break signaling device with a sensor No. 418, E-104B, KPE-99 solenoid valves, and brake release indicators.

The seventh part describes the mechanical linkage of 2TE10l, M62, TEM2, 2TE116, ChME3, TEP70, VL80s, ChS2t locomotives as well as freight and passenger cars.

The application will serve as a good memo to everyone who works on the railway and is connected with brake devices. It will also help students who are preparing to become railway workers. Engineers and their assistants, as well as a mechanic for the repair of rolling stock, will always be able to refresh their memory and repeat one or another brake unit on a locomotive or carriage.
