Is there an age limit for student loans?
Student loan repayment after employment is available for undergraduate students under the age of 35 and graduate students under 40 years of age as of the loan application date.
(The age is calculated based on the date of the main application, not the date of pre-application for the loan)
- However, undergraduate students enrolled in the contract department of a junior college (limited to 'employment conditions') can borrow up to the age of 45
- Undergraduate students who are enrolled or enrolled in a degree program during the university’s lifelong education system support project, special selection for incumbents, or intensive bachelor’s degree major courses, 1) currently employed as an advanced scholar, or 2) working at a small and medium-sized enterprise until the age of 45 Loan available
General repayment student loan is for those under 55 years of age as of the loan application date.
(The age is calculated based on the date of the main application, not the date of pre-application for the loan)
- However, if you enter a university (graduate school) before the age of 55 and continue your studies without interruption, you can get a general repayment student loan until the age of 59 (no loan after completing the relevant degree program)
