The Rural Skills Division under the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) aims to provide skill-based training and promote self‑employment opportunities for rural youth through the Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI) program. The RSETI Training Centres are intended to identify, orient, motivate, train and assist unemployed rural BPL youth in order for them to take up self‑employment ventures or wage employment. The program is implemented in collaboration with public sector banks and State Rural Livelihood Missions (SRLMs). To further strengthen the delivery of this scheme, MoRD has introduced the RSETI App, a comprehensive digital platform that supports all stakeholders in implementing the RSETI program.
The app enables activities outlined in the latest RSETI Guidelines such as from candidate mobilization and attendance (online and offline) to post‑training follow‑up and settlement tracking. It brings end‑to‑end transparency and accountability, facilitates digital sensitization, captures feedback and monitors whether candidates are settled through self‑employment ventures, wage employment or further skilling. The settlement data is collected up to two years after training. This ensures continuous support and tracking of each trainee's journey.
The platform also enables data‑driven governance at institute, state and national levels through centralized dashboards and reports. It supports coordination among training institutes, sponsoring banks, SRLMs and MoRD, reducing delays and enhancing consistency in training delivery. Integration with Aadhar, MIS, and certificate authentication features strengthens reliability and oversight.
Beyond administrative efficiency, the app empowers trainers, directors, and officials by offering a unified interface to manage courses, document outcomes and adhere to standard operating procedures. It ensures timely and standardized support for all trainees.
The RSETI App is a key enabler of MoRD’s vision for a self‑reliant rural India—leveraging digital tools to foster sustainable livelihoods, rural entrepreneurship and inclusive development across the country.
