Al-Wakiah (Arabic: الواقعة - Event) is the fifty-sixth surah of the Qur'an. Meccan Sura. Consists of 96 verses.

It begins with a story about the imminent coming of the Day of Resurrection, about the events that will occur on this Day, and that on this Day people will be divided into three groups. Then, it is described in detail about what is prepared for each group depending on their deeds - bliss for the God-fearing, corresponding to their position, or punishment for the infidels for not believing and disobeying Allah.
