Rummy is a classic matching-card game played with 2–6 players, using one or two standard decks of cards. Each player is dealt a set number of cards, and the goal is to arrange the cards into:
Sequences → consecutive cards of the same suit (like 4♥ 5♥ 6♥).
Sets → cards of the same rank but different suits (like 8♥ 8♠ 8♣).
The game proceeds in turns where players draw and discard cards, trying to improve their hand. The first player to successfully arrange all cards in valid sets and sequences (with at least one pure sequence) can declare and win, provided the combinations meet the rules. Variants include Indian Rummy, Gin Rummy, and Kalooki, each with its own detailed rules.
