Cardiovascular diseases are a group of diseases of the heart and blood vessels, which include:

- congenital heart disease - deformities of the heart structure existing from birth;
- deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism - the formation of blood clots in the leg veins, which can move and move towards the heart and lungs.

Cardiovascular diseases caused by atherosclerotic lesions of the main arteries (coronary, brain) are the leading cause of death worldwide: for no other reason as many people die every year as from CVD.

People in low- and middle-income countries often fail to take advantage of comprehensive primary health care programs for the early detection and treatment of those at risk, and they have less access to effective health services that meet their needs. As a result, many people die at a younger age from CVD and other noncommunicable diseases, often in the most productive years of life.
