Safe Plus More, is a digital application, created by Asheville Community Enterprises, LLC that supports social service organizations including Treatment Centers, Judicial Programs, Law Enforcement & First Responders, Churches, Schools & Community Programs. Our app helps with Training and Staff Retention, Client Scheduling, Company Announcements, Information Dissemination, Emergency Procedures and more!
Asheville Community Enterprises, LLC was founded in Asheville, NC in 2017 by Matthew Bacoate after his first-hand and longstanding experiences in the social service field. Through his work in substance abuse and mental health, he realized the staff members serving our most vulnerable populations were often overworked, and under-supported with resources. In realizing that not only the staff, but the organizations themselves needed support in managing their vitally important community services, the Safe Plus More digital application was visioned.
With support from one of Western North Carolina’s largest entrepreneurial development organizations, Mountain Bizworks, (a U.S. Treasury certified non-profit Community Development Financial Institution or CDFI), Asheville Community Enterprise was able to work directly with Anthroware, a local app design company to get the Safe Plus More application completed and ready for beta-testing in 2018.
Since then, the Safe Plus More App has been able to support hundreds of staff and community members including staff from the City of Asheville Fire Department and Responder Support Services in executing their programs and is currently expanding to support staff, clients, and communities members across the Southeast.
