The Ostocuide application was developed by researchers in the field of stomatherapy together with experts in the field of Information Technology. The application targets people with intestinal ostomies and was produced to support self-care for this population. It has 36 screens built into the menus: self-care, new registration, my records, profile, contact and help us get to know you. The self-care menu has submenus that cover informative topics about food; hygiene care, changing and emptying collection equipment; stomal and peristomal complications; available collection products and equipment; care related to sexuality and body image; tips on social activities and physical activity; types of ostomies and aspects of surgery; main curiosities; places to seek health care; and laws to support people with a stoma. The recording menu presents a screen with options for daily recording of information about stoma care, including inserting photos. The contact menu shows options for sending questions to researchers. And the "help us get to know you" menu presents several questions that help clarify things about ostomies. The application has screens with interactive graphic images and illustrations.
