He is Abu Bakr Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Obaid bin Sufyan bin Qais al-Qurashi, nicknamed Ibn Abi al-Dunya, and he is the patron of the Umayyads, and he was born in the city of Baghdad specifically in the early third century AH in the year 208, and this century had a great impact on intellectual development, where movements rose from Creativity in the various literatures and translations from which Ibn Abi al-Dunya imbibed and had a positive and fundamental impact on the idea. He died in the year 281 AH.

1 - حَدَّثَنَا أبو بكر عبد الله بن محمد بن عبيد القرشي المعروف بابن أبي الدنيا قال حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَرْمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تُمَيْلَةَ يَحْيَى بْنُ وَاضِحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ بِلَالٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُلُّ مَعْرُوفٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَالْمَعْرُوفُ يَقِي سَبْعِينَ نَوْعًا مِنَ الْبَلَاءِ وَيَقِي مِيتَةَ السُّوءِ وَالْمَعْرُوفُ وَالْمُنْكَرُ خَلْقَانِ مَنْصُوبَانِ لِلنَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَالْمَعْرُوفُ لَازِمٌ لِأَهْلِهِ يَقُودُهُمْ وَيَسُوقُهُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَالْمُنْكَرُ لَازِمٌ لِأَهْلِهِ يَقُودُهُمْ وَيَسُوقُهُمْ إِلَى النار.

2- On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him,
That the Messenger of God ﷺ said:
“Whoever relieves his Muslim brother of one of the burdens of this world, God will relieve him of the burdens of this world and the hereafter. Whoever covers his Muslim brother, God will cover him in this world and the hereafter. And God helps the servant as long as he helps his brother.”

3- On the authority of Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari, may God be pleased with him,
That the Prophet of God ﷺ said:
“Good and evil are two things that will be established for people on the Day of Resurrection. As for the good, he gives good tidings to his family and promises them good, and as for the evil, he says to his companions: to you. And they can only do so when necessary.”

4- Al-Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib said:
I have never seen a man to whom a favor was preceded by me but that he illuminated what is between me and him, and I have never seen a man to whom a goodness preceded me except that he darkened what is between me and him.

5- On the authority of Abu Juri Al-Hujaimi who said:
We said: O Messenger of God, we are from the people of the desert, and we would like you to teach us a deed so that God may benefit us with it.
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Do not despise anything of goodness, even if you empty your bucket into a vessel for rain. And speak to your brother with your face open to him.”
