The increasing number of cases of violence, particularly against women and children, has reached an alarming level and requires serious attention. Furthermore, gender justice and equality have not yet been fully realized. This is due to socio-cultural influences in society, where men are perceived as superior and women as subordinate, placing women and men in different, unequal positions and roles, leading to discrimination against women. Consequently, women and children, as vulnerable groups, often lack the space or information to address and seek optimal solutions to their problems.
In an effort to improve the quality of services in providing protection to women and children, as well as the general public, the Jambi Province UPTD-PPA has introduced a complaint application system, Silayang Mobile, as an online platform for victims of violence against women and children. This service provides fast, problem-solving services to victims, provided by skilled personnel in their respective fields.
