For students and teachers in Myanmar - download English language lesson videos and study offline.
Teacher Simon is a free app, ideal for young learners, students and local teachers in Myanmar who want to learn and practice English language, including correct pronunciation and vocabulary.
The app was created by British school teacher in Myanmar - Simon Luttrell, who supports many young students in Myanmar orphanages and monastery schools with donations of school books and vocabulary posters.
The app allows the user to browse an extensive library of video (MP4), audio (MP3), image (jpg) and text (pdf) files that are relevant to students in Myanmar, covering a wide range of day-to-day topics.
Many files are in both English and Myanmar language, and Teacher Simon provides his own video and audio files with clear, British English pronunciation. You can select and download files to your mobile device in just a few seconds, and then view these files offline.
The app also includes a real-time flashcard function (internet access needed), to learn specific vocabulary groups, such as animals, fruit, vegetables, body parts, clothes, jobs and transportation.
All poster vocabulary words are assigned a unique number code, which allows the end-user to playback the correct pronunciation of the word in real-time (internet access needed). The posters that Teacher Simon has created are available for download as a pdf file, and copy shops in Myanmar can download the file and print out the complete set for display in the school classroom. (The URL of this pdf file can be downloaded to the copy shop computer - the app is not required)
Use of this app does not require any user registration or payment, and the app collects no end-user data. It's completely anonymous and free to use.
The number of language files in the library increase every week, as Teacher Simon creates new files to help Myanmar students. Please contact him using the app email function to request vocabulary files on your favourite topic.
