"SIP" - most buzzing word in mutual fund industry as 'systematic investment plan'.

This is not a new thing in terms of investment, regular saving is the key for any growth.
It is only about choosing the instrument and invest in it regularly.

To create the wealth over a period of time can be done by laying out a simple investment plan i.e. SIP.

As many people say equity is the key to make the wealth, and formula is 100 - your age = x% -> should be invested into equity.So this means every year a person need to review its investments to align to this formula.

For a common person, whatever is left out of all expenditure does go to savings(or investments). It is not like many people say, save first and then spend. So based on what is left, you can choose what investment plan suits you.

For example a person earns 50,000/- rupees a month and after all expenditures is left with 10,000/- a month and it can vary to 12,000 or 8,000 any given month. So based on this analysis a simple investment plan can laid out. This person can invest 8,000 to equity mutual funds via systematic investment plan and remaining left over or excess amount to post office provident fund, fixed deposit etc. Here the assumption is, this person has taken health insurance already.

So draw your own investment plan, everybody has different responsibilities and different goals in life. Don't get distracted or tempted from the stock market's returns and stories. Keep yourself invested for long term and do it regularly. Increase investment every year based on your income hike.
