The TB-R (Tuberculosis Reminder) application is an Android-based application aimed at assisting pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) patients in their treatment regimen in a flexible and accessible manner. The application can be downloaded from the Play Store and is designed to provide easy reminders for taking Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (OAT) and provide relevant educational materials about TB.
The TB-R application has three main features:
User Profile:
This feature allows users to create and manage a personal profile containing important information about their health and TB treatment. Data included includes name, age, treatment phase, employment status, residence status, and gender.
OAT Reminder:
This feature is crucial for supporting patient adherence to taking OAT on time. The application schedules OAT consumption based on treatment phase and provides an alarm notification to the user when it's time to take their medication. If the user hasn't taken their medication, the alarm will sound again until they confirm they have taken their medication. This feature also records the user's adherence history.
Educational Materials:
The educational feature provides useful information about TB, including symptoms, how it spreads, the importance of consistent treatment, and tips for maintaining health during treatment. Educational content is presented in various formats, such as articles, infographics, videos, and quizzes, to help users better understand TB. This material is regularly updated in line with the latest medical developments and recommendations from health agencies.
The TB-R app aims to provide better support to TB patients in undergoing effective treatment and to raise public awareness about the importance of consistent treatment.
