Just like every other citizen, newly immigrated people in Germany need access to mobility in order to be able to integrate, to attend to the authorities and to take part in social life. The fact that many new immigrants are housed decentrally in rural regions exacerbates the rural mobility problem with two main problem areas: insufficient information and limited and inflexible mobility offers.
The MAZ project addresses these problems by developing a smartphone application that aims to improve the provision of information about mobility services by addressing various target groups.
