Arcade-style slant on the world's most popular sport pounds the pavement for more four-on-four action. Players can get their kicks by challenging more than 320 professional stars on 20 teams or by competing against an international assortment of real-life street athletes in multiple game modes. New juggling moves and other feats of agility can be performed using the analog stick, dubbed the "trick stick," which initiates specific plays to outsmart opponents when pressed in unison with the controller's face buttons.

The trick stick is used primarily in one-on-one situations, where offense and defensive players attempt to quickly counter each other's moves. Players who successfully outwit their competition will increase the "momentum state" trick multiplier, allowing them to string together more special moves for a limited amount of time.
