CADE - Food Consumption at Home and at School is an app that allows you to know
the feeding of school children in a self-reported way. The app has three
main interfaces that include food in school environments, through
a food record, household (including food delivered by delivery and outside
from home, such as restaurants), through a 24-hour recall of multiple
steps combined with a food propensity questionnaire, in addition to the third interface that
allows the typing of data on the child's feeding previously collected on paper.
The user of the application are responsible for the child in school environments and
home. Some examples of app features: data integration from
feeding the child in school and home environments; photographic record of
food; notification to remind real-time reporting and quantity estimation
consumed using digital photos. The tool presents a database with more
2000 food items frequently consumed by Brazilian school children;
nine options for food preparation methods; 18 food item options that
can be added to other foods; 75 options of homemade measures used
to serve the food; 26 digital photos of household items used for serving
the foods and 440 digital photos of portions of 90 foods from the Manual
Photograph of Infant Food Quantification used in the ENANI 2019 study
(Crispim SP et al. Photographic Manual of Infant Food Quantification, 1st ed.;
Federal University of Paraná: Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, 2018. 159 p). It is believed that
the CADE application can standardize and automate the collection of dietary data
reducing the cost of academic research interested in evaluating the feeding of
school children.
