Raul was a Brazilian rock songwriter, singer, songwriter and producer. He is sometimes called "Father of Brazilian Rock" and "Maluco Beleza". He was born in Salvador (BA), and died of pancreatitis in São Paulo. Every year, on Seixas's birthday, legions of fans, including thousands of imitators (many even change their last name to Seixas as a sign of idolatry), hold a parade in his honor in downtown São Paulo.
