During the first years of the s. XIV, some people coming from distant lands, north of the Pyrenees, arrived in these territories through cattle routes, in an escape route of more than a century, in search of a new life and of safe meeting points: homes and inns, markets, pastures...

And this is precisely what they found in the Maestrat, what remains today: a network of paths through which welcoming and hard-working people travel. A web that converges in the meeting points that are the towns and their socio-economic and cultural fabric.
