About the app

- South East Water (SEW), paperless, Safe Work Methods (SWMS) App is an efficient and effective method to prepare SWMS in accordance with the SEW Risk Management process.
- This App helps our employees to understand and identify hazards associated with their work and apply controls before starting high risk activities keeping our employees and workplace safe.
- This App is for SEW employee use only.

How does it work?

- South East Water (SEW) employees are given a pre-prepared standard SWMS to be selected for a range of SEW defined high-risk activities.
- These standard SWMS have been prepared in consultation with SEW employees.
- The SWMS will display pre-identified Tasks and known Hazards with associated controls to apply and the responsible person.
- Any site-specific hazards identified can be added into the standard SWMS and these will be visible to all users of the specific SWMS.
- Every employee undertaking high risk tasks are required to read and acknowledge the SWMS prior to start of high-risk tasks.
- Completed SWMS will be recorded for auditing purposes.
- Periodic reviews will be undertaken by the SEW safety team to ensure currency of SWMS.
