Believe me, if you start focusing on your good qualities (and we all have them) you'll start to appreciate yourself and be on your way to loving yourself. If you're worried it is arrogant to think you have good qualities, toss that stupid idea out right now. And besides, you don't have to sit down and list all your positive qualities for people. Keep it to yourself.
A trick which someone taught me is to imagine how a successful, or happy, or peaceful, or whatever, person would act and then copy those behaviors. After a while, you begin to integrate those behaviors into your personality.
Anyway - get up and enjoy your life. You deserve that much.
