Proherzschlag – Ready in an emergency. For people. With heart.
Every day, around 150 people in Germany suffer a cardiac arrest outside of the hospital. The chance of survival is greatest if resuscitation is started within 6 minutes and an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is connected. When every minute counts, quick help can save lives – you can help too!
Proherzschlag is one of the first responder alert systems in Germany. With this app, you will be alerted if someone in your vicinity suffers a cardiac arrest.
How does the Proherzschlag app work?
You will be alerted based on your home and work address or – if you allow it – based on your GPS location. The 100 nearest first responders within a 2 km radius will receive an alert. Registered AEDs will also be included. You can either be sent directly to the emergency scene or get an AED first. If enough rescuers respond, surplus personnel are automatically logged off to prevent oversupply.
App features:
• Receive alerts based on your home and work address
• Activate GPS alerts using "Track Location"
• View your most recent alerts and questionnaires
• Find AEDs in your area
• ProHerzschlag Passport (identification at the scene)
