Every day, people in Ireland suffer a cardiac arrest outside a hospital. The chance of survival is greatest if someone resuscitates within 6 minutes and connects an AED. When every minute counts, quick help is vital. You too can help!
HeartbeatNow is the CPR call system of Ireland. With this app, you receive an alarm call when someone near you suffers a cardiac arrest.
How does the HeartbeatNow app work?
We alert you based on your home and work address or on your GPS position if you specifically authorise this. The nearest 100 civilian emergency services providers in a 2 km radius receive a call. AEDs are also included in the alert, so you can be given the task of going directly to the victim or getting an AED first. If there are enough registrations, the rest will receive a cancellation to avoid having too many volunteers on site.
