Upin & Ipin is a children's animated television series released on September 14, 2007 in Malaysia and broadcast on TV9. The series is produced by Les' Copaque. Initially this film to educate children to understand more about Ramadan. Now, Upin & Ipin already has eight airing seasons. In Indonesia, Upin & Ipin is present on MNCTV. In Turkey, Upin & Ipin is broadcast on Hilal TV.

It broadcasts every day on TV9 at 16.30, and on MNCTV it airs every day at 12:00 and 16.30 WIB. Initially, Upin & Ipin was broadcast specifically to welcome Ramadan in 2007 to educate children about the meaning and importance of the holy month of Ramadan. Upin and Ipin are a pair of young twins who live with Kak Ros and Mak Uda (commonly called Opah) in Kampung Durian Runtuh after the death of their parents when they were babies.
