Surat Al-Fajr is a Meccan surah, from al-Mufassal, its 30 verses, and its arrangement in the Qur’an 89, in the 30th part, beginning with the style of the section Ra bracket.png and dawn Aya-1.png La bracket.png, revealed after Surat al-Layl.

Interpretation
Most of the commentators are of the view that what is meant by the ten nights of Dhul-Hijjah is the first. Al-Qurtubi said: “And the ten nights,” meaning the ten nights of Dhul-Hijjah, as well as Mujahid, Al-Suddi and Al-Kalbi said, and Ibn Abbas said it.

Al-Tabari said: “The correct opinion in our view is that it is one tenth of the sacrifice due to the consensus of the argument from among the people of interpretation.”

Al-Shawkani said: “The ten nights are the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, according to the majority of commentators.”

The subject of the surah

The like of which He was not created in the country. And Thamud who traversed the rocks in the valley. And Pharaoh with stakes, who overwhelmed the land and increased corruption in it. So your Lord poured on them a whip of torment. Your Lord is on the lookout...)
