The virtue of reciting Surat al-Anbiya is the topic of the day, and like all the chapters of the Noble Qur’an, it has great merit, and the continuation of a general reading has a great reward. It was named by this name because in it many prophets and messengers were mentioned, with a detailed account of their story, and it is one of the Meccan surahs that were revealed in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and its order in the Holy Book of God is the twenty-first, and the number of its verses reaches 112.

The virtue of reciting Surat Al-Anbiya
On the authority of Amer bin Rabi’ah - may God be pleased with him - that a man from the Arabs came down with him, and his abode was honorable, and the Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - spoke about it. I will cut off a piece of it for you, and it will be yours, and your successor after you. Aamir said: I do not need to cut you off. Today, a surah was revealed that shocked us from the world: “The reckoning of people drew near, while they were in heedlessness and rejected.”

{Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say: “Bring your proof. This is a mention of those with me and a mention of those before me.”

The virtue of reciting Surat Al-Anbiya to relieve distress
This surah included the stories of the prophets, and how they used to supplicate to their Lord to get rid of distress, sadness, and worry, and the most famous of these supplications was the supplication of our master Yunus in the belly of the whale, and this came in the Sunnah in the following hadith.
The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The supplication of Dhul-Nun when he supplicated while he was in the belly of the whale, ‘There is no god but You, Glory be to You, I was one of the wrongdoers’.
{Did not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, so We separated them and made of water from water?}
