Spirituality of Surat Al-Raad
No two disagree about the merit of reciting all Qur’anic verses, not a single surah, or a specific verse, since God Almighty revealed the best speech to His Noble Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.

And our talk today is about Surat Al-Ra’d, and its spiritual benefits, as more than one honorable hadeeth was mentioned from the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in the spirituality of Surat Al-Ra’d, including the following: [1]

The Prophet’s clarification that a lot and perseverance in reciting Surat Al-Thunder was never struck by God Almighty, even if he was an immoral person.

It is also in an honorable hadith on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that whoever recites Surat al-Thunder, God Almighty will reward him with ten good deeds, weighing the weight of all the clouds that have passed, and are still passing, just as God Almighty will send its reciter on the Day of Resurrection from among those who fulfill the covenant of God Almighty.

And in another hadith on the authority of the Noble Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that whoever writes Surat al-Thunder on a dark night, after the evening prayer, and leaves it at the door of the oppressor, then God Almighty will afflict this oppressor with short life and narrow chest, just as God Almighty will destroy him in return for his wrongdoing. .

Surah Al-Rad is a civil or Meccan surah
Surat al-Ra’d is one of the Medinan surahs, and it is the surah that was revealed to our master Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in Medina, except for the noble verse: “And those who disbelieve are still afflicted by what they have done…” and its verses are forty-three.

Surat Al-Thunder was called by this name, in the era of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, when the reason for its name was attributed to the mention of thunder in the Almighty’s saying: “Thunder praises Him and the angels out of His fear and He sends thunderbolts and strikes with it whom He wills, and they argue about God and it is extremely impossible.”
