The book of Matan Aj-Jurumiyah written by Asshaykh Abu Abdillah Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Dawud Ash Shinhaji (sometimes called Ash Shonhaji), better known as Ibn Ajurum.

Ibn Ajurum compiled Matan Al-Ajurumiyah in 719 H, four years before he died.

Ar-Ra'i and Ibn al-Haj mention that Ibn Ajurum wrote this book in front of the Ka'bah. And added by Al-Hamidi that after writing this book, Ibn Ajurum threw his book into the sea saying, "If I wrote this book sincerely for the sake of Allah, then surely this book will not get wet." And it turns out that the book of Al-Ajurumiyah that he wrote was not wet. So even though this book is thin and intended for beginners, his writings are accepted by all circles, and are widely used as grammar studies in Islamic boarding schools.

The translation of the Al-Ajrumiyah book that you are reading is one of the basic books in the science of nahwu written by As Shaykh Ash Shanhaji. In doing the translation, I did not add anything additional except what I considered necessary to be explained because of the vague meaning in question. Also after I explained, I still leave some terms in this book, because just as Nahwu means parable, so I let the term remain as a term. It is important for us to leave those terms alone. For example, we define that al-kalam is al-kalam even though we know its meaning is a sentence. And we define that fa'il is fa'il even though we know that it means the person who does the deed. Because it's all well-known, then we should not create new terms that will make it difficult for us as well.
